I’m not here to tell you what to do.

I’m here to walk with you -
 through stories, through Country,
 and through questions that don’t always have easy answers.

I run workshops like Acknowledge This!
 I create cultural art and experiences.
 I consult with people and organisations who want to shift -
 from doing the right thing
 to becoming the real thing.

I believe in walking gently. Speaking truly.
 And laughing when the moment calls for it.

This site holds the things I make - and the stories I carry.

What I Want In My Work

In a world full of policies, protocols, and tick-box reconciliation, what I want in my work is simple:

Presence. Connection. Responsibility.

I don’t care about titles or templates.
I care about how we show up — for each other, for ourselves, for Country.

Whether I’m running workshops, consulting, or building something custom, my goal is the same:
To help people get out of their heads, into the moment, and back into relationship.
 Relationship before business. Culture before compliance.

I call myself a Modern Custodian — not because I carry ancient knowledge, but because I carry responsibility.
Not just to the past, but to right now.
Because culture isn’t in your RAP. It isn’t in your mural.
Culture is how we see each other. How we listen. How we choose to show up — here, now.

And the truth is, when you strip everything else away, it’s actually pretty black and white.

MEET THE Modern Custodian TEAM

I'm Kate. 

A little about me - I love hiking; I'm currently in my pilates era; I spend too much time dreaming up holidays; and I'm Benny's human. 

I'm Modern Custodian’s Business Manager which essentially means I keep things running. I love numbers and a good to do list.

I'm Kim. 

Mum of two boys; surviving with humour, coffee &.. wine (can I say that?) 

When family life isn’t too chaotic; we love to spend time getting away and exploring new places. I’m here for all your ticket enquiries and keeping our database nice and tidy.

I'm Benny. 

My Mum says I'm a mutt, but I prefer the term “rescue mix”. I love digging holes, stealing other dogs balls and playing with squeaky toys.

My official role at Modern Custodian is to bring a bit of carnage to the office and contribute to Zoom calls.
